Welcome to Week 12, the last week of our semester.
In Lecture 22, we will discuss the orthogonal projection of a vector onto a subspace of an inner product space, and the application of this concept to the problem of finding an approximate solution to an overdetermined system of linear equations. A system is overdetermined if is is inconsistent due to having more equations than variables.
